Hello

My name is Luz Casado (formally Luz Rosado), I'm the Substance Prevention
Coordinator of the Lawrence, Methuen Community Coalition located in Lawrence, MA, Mass Call 3.
Background: I was born in Puerto Rico and came to Massachusetts (28) years ago. I have lived most of this time in Lawrence, MA, and recently moved to Merrimack, NH. Graduated from High School back in 1985, from COEB Military School in Buchanan, Guaynabo, PR. Pharmacy was my first career, completing an AS back in the 90s. My second career is a BA, by certificates as Community Health Educator and third and last (well you never know), started recently in 2009 and finished June 2021 as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, CADC. I used to work for the Mayor’s Health Task Force as Community Health Worker, the YWCA as a Health Ambassador, with Lawrence General Hospital as a Safety Mental Health Monitor and for Greater Lawrence Family Health Center as Insurance Specialist, serving Lawrence MA and surrounding communities. I also recently had the opportunity to serve as a Counselor at the Manchester Comprehensive Treatment Center of Methadone. Furthermore, I am a mother of three, one daughter and two sons, 39, 35 and 33 years old, (4) grandkids, 19, 18, 17 and 16, and recently married to a wonderful person in long term recovery, who also serves the same communities as a Recovery Coach for Pentucket Medical Patients.

Hobbies: writing, reading, hiking, swimming, walking and love to coordinate events like birthdays and family gatherings. I'm very excited and happy to be back serving the community that served me and served my kids for many years in the past. It is something I am very passionate about and cherish dearly. Thank you for visiting our page, and please don't hesitate to call me with ideas, comments and suggestions. Together we can build better homes, better communities for our kids. Thank you.
