About Us
The Lawrence Methuen Community Coalition (LMCC) was founded in 1995 as a coalition of residents and agencies coming together to share information, support and resources for families in Greater Lawrence. Components of LMCC include Community Connections; FYI (Families and Youth Initiative) PATCH; Massachusetts Opioid Abuse Prevention Collaborative (MOAPC); Substance Abuse Prevention Collaborative (SAPC); and Drug Free Communities.
The mission of LMCC is to provide an accessible continuum of services that fosters and preserves the health, safety and well-being of individuals and families, thus supporting communities in following the principles of Family Support, the prevention of substance abuse, the prevention of child maltreatment and increasing awareness of the prevention of domestic and family violence. LMCC serves the communities of: Andover, Haverhill, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover.
The current components of LMCC in 2022 are Community Connections; Families and Youth Initiative (FYI)/PATCH; Drug Free Communities (DFC); Overdose Data To Action (OD2A); Massachusetts Collaborative for Action
Leadership and Learning (MassCALL3); and, MassHEAL (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) Study Project through partnership with Boston Medical Center and Boston University - HEALing Communities Study (HCS HEALing) Substance Misuse Prevention – MassHEAL Study Community Coordinator.
